We are The Initials. We consist of Bassist/Vocalist Daniel Jackson and Guitarist/Vocalist Josh Ryan. We started up as a trio who met in college and had similar musical interests, but had a falling out with a member. Josh, originally on drums at the time, jumped onto guitar and pushed the Initials into their sound today. We went through eleven drummers before Josh finally said, "F It! I'm gonna program a drummer." Now we play as a duo with an electronic drummer.
We play originals and covers, but mostly originals. Our sound consists of our influences:
Daniel has his bass influenced by bands such as Death From Above 1979, The Misfits, Joy Division, and has his vocals influenced by Joy Division, The Misfits, Roy Orbison as well as others.
Josh's guitar is influenced by The Foo Fighters, Muse, Stone Temple Pilots, as well as others. His voice is influenced by Foo Fighters, Weezer, blink-182, and others.
We hope to bring some good punk rock into your day. Hope you enjoy!
