My name is Terry Bell and I own and operate United Teachers Of Music in Independence, Mo.(www.utofm.com) we have a full muisical program(lessons and orchestras)using the accordion. We teach children and adults.
I attended the University Of Missouri At Kansas City/Conservatory Of Music. I studied accordion under professor Joan Sommers. You can major in music theory, performance, education, or music therapy, etc. I also have a theological degree from the North Central University in Minneapolis, Minn. I traveled 7 years giving classical concerts in schools and churches. I traveled all over the United States. I played mostly classical and gospel music. The classical music ranged from Bach, Beethoven, Rimsky-Korsikopf and modern composers who have been commissioned to write classical music.
Now for my jobs; I play jazz, big band, country, gospel, rock and roll, disco, classical, techno, and blues. I play everything from “Bach to Boogie” using Roland accordion and arranger.
