Sat down to a piano at the age of 4 and immediately played mary had a little lamb, (no not the stevie ray version). I remember my mom being on the phone and saying "he plays by ear!". Well I grew up too stupid or stubborn to learn to read music so I suppose I'm missing some key ingredients, but thats ok, I'm able to play what I like. In my early days I would spend hours learning my favorites (Kiss, Nugent) and stuff I had to to play school dances (early 80's top 40). Later I played local bars, never really going anywhere, just enjoying performing. During that time however, the drummer would discuss things he'd been reading in the bible. Having been raised by a church going family I feared for my soul and was willing to consider the drummers words. Soon I recognized my bent for sin and need for a savior, and prayed that God would forgive me and accept me. I can only say that the change in my desires (which 30 years later still amazes me) would have to tell me He did!
