More About Rafa Matielo
Rafa Matielo is a singer, acoustic-style songwriter from Brazil, always doing his best to make people happy trough music. In early 2000s Matielo started to play solo in pubs and parties focusing on Brazilian Popular Music (MPB), Pop, Rock, Soul and Swing from all around the world.
In 2004 started his academic career in Biotechnology while still working as a musician. Matielo got his graduation degree in Biological Sciences in 2012, a Master degree in 2014 and a PhD in Biological Sciences in 2018 never leaving his music vein playing with the cover band “PhD Rock†since 2016.
As a Biology Technician, in Federal University of Pampa, Matielo founded the extension project “Música na Universidade†(Music on University) in 2016. This project got more than 30 people from the academic community involved. In March of 2019 the group released the album “VITROLA 220†with 8 tracks from the most variable musical styles possible reflecting its heterogeneous formation.
