More About pointer

We are the musical entity Pointer. Pointer is co-created through two individual human beings, EceYes and DeceTrace. DT is typing and most frequently playing on this profile. Through following our highest excitement, we are truly excited to be playing for you. Our intention is play, fun, love, and the honest expression itself, music. We live this way, as an art, co-creating and enjoying. Our experience together is saturated with many joyous moments; thus, we reflect to you the transposition and transmutation of the totality of our shared experience. It's best friend music, duh! It has been a fun challenge to capture our sonic expressions. Stream of consciousness and improv are representative definitions of what we play. "I" am an echo of the music that plays me. I (and I believe we both) quite literally channel the music through my (our) being(s). We are healing and growing with our music and refining our craft to live the waking dream of living through loving. Listen and grow with us.

Fun Stuff about the Artist

Life on the Street

Children dancing, singing, and laughing as I play for them and their families on the street. I feed off of interactions between humans through music and sharing. Their laughter was a catalyst of giddy giggles and perpetuated much laughter. Laughter music!

Embarrassing Moment

Oh boy... I'll get back to you on that one.

My Instrument

DTrace is in love with Grace the Bass, she's got a beautiful face.

Gifted 1970's Alvarez acoustic dreadnought from my father to my mother (30 years ago) and to me (a few years ago) b/c my mother doesn't play and I do. Thanks Mom! As a small child I used to rub my hand across the strings to enjoy the sound commonly heard as the "DJ scratch" though I didn't know of it or hear it at that time. I did this because a muppet appeared to use this technique while singing about opposites and things of that nature. I would also pluck and gently slap the strings just to hear/feel it resonate. I also loved the smell of it, old dusty wood and old metallic string. I pretty much do the same things with it now, though it doesn't smell as good anymore.

E plays a gorgeous hollow body electric Gretsch with a tremolo. Perfect synchronistic match made in heaven on earth. His Martin has been thunked on with plenty of funk as well (dropped a billion times too).
