Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Charles founded New English American Theatre (Neat) in 1991 in Stuttgart. His many directing credits include plays by Woody Allen, Tennessee Williams, Samuel Beckett, Edward Albee, Stephen King, Willy Russell, Mark Twain and Christopher Durang. As an actor he has appeared in numerous Shakespeare plays, musicals, and children’s theatre. Charles appears regularly in radio, TV and film projects and particularly enjoys Studio Voice Over work. Susanna Thielecke
Susan joined Neat in 2003, having previously worked as an actress and make-up artist for groups in Regensburg and Trier. She has been involved in all of Neat’s pantos to date, as an actress, (co-)director and, in the case of ONE GENIE TOO MANY, scriptwriter. She is also Neat’s treasurer.
