I tend to perform in small intimate venues. Recently, I had a funny situation. A table seemed to be enjoying the show, but, they also seemed to be seriously discussing something. After a few minutes, one of the guests came up to the stage, dropped a tip in the jar, and basically demanded that I sing Fire & Rain... I jokingly said something like "You are just assuming that I know it...." to which he replied a forceful "Yeah!". So, I played it, then he came back to the stage and asked "are you James Taylor"... I laughed and said "No....." Then he asked, "would you tell us if you were?" and I laughed again and said "No"..... kept me chuckling for the rest of the night... and yes, I played several other James Taylor songs just to keep them guessing.
too many to mention. You might say that my entire life is an embarrasing moment.
I'm an acoustic guy - my first good guitar was an Ovation, because back then (yes, I'm dating myself), those were the easiest acoustic guitars to amplify. Over the years I've owned Takamine's, other Ovations, and currently play a Martin 000-28, and a Paul Reed Smith Acoustic (Tonare SE). All depending on my mood.
