More About jlopeznextjen

Ive had a passion for music for a long time although I have never taken it seriously out of fear of failure, cowardice and just flat out laziness. That's my life in a nutshell. I grew up listening to any kind of music my friends were listening to from greenday to system of a down to hip hop and emo. I was always drawn to alternative rock as well as folk and indie. I didn't have much music influence from my parents at least nothing that i can remember. I picked up a guitar and started singing right away because I always wanted to learn and the opportunity arose because my new set of friends were in a band so they taught me a couple chords and i kind of went from their. I became a Christian years later and started learning worship music. My favorite type of Christian music is not what you would hear on the local christian radio although I do like that music I am just drawn to alternative music that doesn't follow a certain formula or sound but still keeping the purity of the Gospel

Fun Stuff about the Artist

Life on the Street

I was playing on the street and starting to jam with some other musicians. I was about to improvise some lyrics with the singer and what came to mind was i wont sell my soul right after that thought before i got to sing it the other singer sang sell your soul to rock and roll.

Embarrassing Moment

I got an autograph from the lead singer from my favorite band at the time and realized the band members were standing right beside him and I ignored them. Sooo rude lol i was just so nervous.

My Instrument

i have no idea. Ive lived in so many places Ive lost a majority of everything i have owned.
Grew up in the streets borderline homeless, couch surfing etc. by the Grace of God the minimal amount of times Ive slept on the streets its been warm and I always had food money or a job to sustain me not to mention people that have helped me greatly.
