I grew up listening to the music my parents listened to, which was soft alt-rock from my Mom and weird goth industrial from my Dad. On my own time, as I matured, I made my way through the rock classics, then through punk and metal, and finally onto indie rock and experimental electronic. As for what music I played, it started out with classical piano and concert clarinet and then transitioned into years as a jazz guitarist, all the while sharpening my teeth learning the music I listened to on rock guitar and synth.

These days I've released jam albums, weird synthesized electronic rock albums, and a semi-jazz EP under the moniker DTB. In years past I also released some post-alternative experimental music with The Ciceronians, where all the lyrics were taken from Ancient Latin poetry. It was revolutionary.

Now I just play what sounds good, and it shouldn't be any more complicated than that.
