I first picked up the guitar when I was 14, 16 years ago... I got myself a couple of books and began the journey of what it turned out to be a great compass that has led and and influence my life as I know it.
Music for me is like a medicine, a portal, a language in which my mind is playing around and having fun with notes, sounds, feelings.
I hope you join the frequencies.
Oh the good times. I love performing on the street. There's a certain element that makes the experience super unique every time. I mainly improvise in general so for me this is extra fun because I thrive when I create music in the moment. It feels that I am channeling the notes, chords, ideas and flow from the universe. Like a tap of endless stream of music waiting to be arranged in a way that only the present will determine.
After some times of performing at my favorite spot in Sitges, Barcelona, I became aware of a woman that was seated at the same bench every time, enjoying my music and drawing, writing notes. Once I was walking between spots to play and there she was again. This time she approached me, we had a lovely chat and in the end she gave me a card with a quote by revered composer, Henry Purcell (1659-1695).
The quote goes like this:
''Of music be the food of love...''
I fumbled my live loop session so many times. This is when I use the Boss RC20. I still have not figured out most functions and I will sometimes forgetfully active the FX and the first one which is Bend Down.
The entire loop I created just bends down to the lowest octave. I have to manually press it with my hand to stop the effect. It is not the end of the world as I usually brush it off with a smile and effortless reset of the looper.
I love guitars. All guitars. I don't name them, I appreciate them for the time that I am lucky to have them but I don't bond with them in the way other folks do.
