Only performed once. Place called "Smoke and Barrel". It was my first little mini show ever. Def made me act mysterious where people had no clue who the performer was. It was an alright show over all. I just couldn't hear myself as well but at the same time, coffee shop music isn't really a bar music kind of deal. Luckily it was wine night. Overall I'm glad I was able to try a show for the first time ever. Id like to do something like that again. Next goal is to try to perform on the streets or something in that area.
Forgetting the words and chords to a Neil Young song. There's a small "Jam Band" group of guys who used to play on Thursday nights. They would do covers of Tom Petty, Neil Young, Weezer, Eric Clapton, and so on. My first time going, I couldn't play the guitar at all. Year or two later, I finally learned the basics. They asked me to play "Heart of Gold". I knew the intro so well that when we went to start the song, he went right into the lyrics and I stopped and said "Lets do the intro". So he let me lead. It sounded so great that I didn't even have a clue of the chords etc. I stopped right after the intro and was like......welllllllllllllllll I do not know that song after all. They were like waiting for me to keep playing I said " Hold it hold it.", someone take over. Lol. I almost wanted to quit lol.
I play the acoustic guitar. My favorite guitar would be a Taylor Grand Auditorium. I don't have one. I play with a Washburn Grand Auditorium that reminds me a lot of a Taylor guitar. It is one of my favorites along with my Classical Acoustic Electric Washburn. When you first start, you want anything that is a guitar. When you get better with practice, you realize the quality change of guitars etc. I hope to get a Taylor one day.
