Most of my street sets were fairly uneventful, but a musician friend of mine got robbed and pistol whipped during his set which really ruined his day.
In the middle of a punk set in a house show, the singer runs up to me holding my shoulder. I asked what was up and if everything was okay. He then pushed me aside so he could vomit all over the amp I was borrowing for the show.
I started playing piano at age 5, but a cute girl in 7th grade said she'd date anyone who could play and sing "Hey There Delilah" for her. After hearing her mention this, I raced home and destroyed my hand trying to learn how to play my dad's steel acoustic guitar. With determination to win her heart, I stuck with it and mastered the song within a month and continue to play guitar to this day. I sadly never got the chance to play it for her, but I did eventually let her know how big of an impact she had on me.
