Probably my most embarrassing moment was when I had the chance to open for legendary songwriter Keith Sykes( Jimmy Buffett, John Prine, and Guy Clark co-writes to his credit) and half way through my set the battery in my guitar started to die and the sounded terrible. After the show I had a chance to talk with Keith over a glass of wine and he advised me to always change the battery on a regular basis. He was a great sport about it and thanked me for opening the show!
My first guitar was not very expressive and didn't sound all that good. I ended up selling it for $75 about 5 years later after it sat in the case for 4 of those years.
I don't name my guitars and I'm not sure why, maybe because I like to change the one I play so frequently that it helps with the breakup if I don't get to attached... LOL
