My name is Eu Gene and I am a multi-talent vocalist/songwriter/producer. I have been singing since the age of 3 in my childhood church choir. I started to develop my songwriting skills at the age of 14 and during that era I composed a 100 or so songs and I reached out to Gospel Singer Kirk Franklin and other songwriters for their help. Kirk Franklin's management responded and they promised to do everything in their power to help me get noticed musically but honest I never heard anything else after that, and in 1999 Kirk Franklin released another album and one my songs made the cut (Keep Your Head Up) Smile Again. I was hurt and confused, asking why would he take advantage of me and I didn't receive any credit nor royalties. Years later, in 2012, Tamela Mann released a single which happened to be another of one my songs "Take Me To the King (Truth Is)" still no recognition. The moral of the story is that I learned if I want too get anywhere, I will need to promote myself. I am hopeful.
