More About chancemotta

I began playing guitar and writing around the age of 15. In high school I used to play weekly at open mics held by a local coffee shop. After graduation I didn't do much with music for about a year, but than I discovered an online world secondlife and began to perform up to 5 shows a day.

After performing heavily for about a year I went to IL and recorded my first album Whispering Shadows. I continued to perform online, but after some life changes and internet issues I began to perform less for a while.

After moving a couple times I ended up enrolling in school for music production at Full Sail University and graduated with a BA in music production in June of 2014. Upon graduation I opened an instrument store and began to perform more online while working to produce my next album.

My love for music comes from emotion. Live I perform acoustic, but when recorded I like to experiment creative more of an industrial/electronic sound. My influences range from all styles of rock/a
Fun Stuff about the Artist

Life on the Street

Perhaps one of the most interesting moments I've had performing was actually after my set. I was one of the opening acts for a pretty hard metal band and performed an acoustic set with my ex girlfriend. The songs I did were pretty emotional and I was practically in tears during the set. After performing when the metal band started playing a ton of fans had showed up who were dressed all hardcore and seemed to think they were pretty cool. During the set all the fans just stood around like they were bored, but my girlfriend and I were jumping around moshing and seemed to be the only ones having fun. I found it amusing that the kid who just sang his heart out practically in tears was the only one going crazy having fun at the show.

Embarrassing Moment

One rather embaressing, but fun moments was performing at a coffee shop. My foster sister decided to write a song about her dog and how he was plotting to take over the world. She wrote the song while I was playing and than gave me the lyrics to sing. I've often done improvisation, but it was one of the first times I did it at a show that wasn't online. I also hadn't written the song or had any idea what the lyrics were until I started singing them. It was a rather odd song and I had trouble not laughing through the whole thing.

My Instrument

The first guitar I got was a classical guitar. I wanted an electric, but got tired of waiting and saving money up and had enough for a classical guitar. I had gone to buy an electric someone told me about that they said was only 100, but when I got to the store it was more than that and I didn't have enough saved so I ended up getting a classical. Until about a year ago I still actually played that guitar with it being 11 years old now, but I gave it to my cousin who wanted to learn to play guitar. I've never actually named my instruments.
