I grew up playing jigs, reels and airs on the fiddle. In my teens I played in the post rock scene in my hometown and started a silly noise punk band called the Toxic Pijin. Our first gig was disturbing a book signing by Michael Monty Palin Python but we wanted greater things so bought an old minibus and drove to Europe to find ourselves some gigs.
I have always enjoyed playing new music with and for new people. Touring, and recordings, Busking the streets of new places.

My real name being John-Joe Murray, after a particularly eventful few months living in London in 2009, I started playing solo with a looper as The Worrisome Ankletrout and released a 17 track album, 'Deep Streams Steep Dreams'.

After a period of dormancy whilst playing with all over UK and Europe with Johnny Kowalski and the Sexy Weirdos, six incredible weeks in the USA with Robinson and being a father to a boy and a girl, The Worrisome Ankletrout is getting a new set polished and ready to hit the road once again
