Life on the Street
I have performed in many places during my travels. One of my favorite places is Portland, OR. The people there just really dig music in any form, though it is hard to get your head up above the rest because there are so many musicians. My twin brother is still out there in PDX making headway with his own band, Coloring Electric Like.
Embarrassing Moment
My most embarrassing moment was when my twin brother and I were scheduled to perform live in our hometown of Indianapolis at the age of 19. The day before we were scheduled to play we took our guitars to a local guitar shop to have them restringed and intonated. The day of the show we picked up our guitars and headed for the venue. Under the impression that our guitars were perfectly intonated and tuned, we began our set, only to find out that our guitars were horribly out of tune and not well intonated at all. Very embarrassing and frustrating , seeing as how we paid good money for this service. A lesson to all....learn how to service your own equipment and you won't get juked by frauds!
My Instrument
I love all my instruments, from my drum set to my little, wooden, Irish flute. My "baby", so to speak is my custom made Fernandes 6-string electric guitar. It has a beautiful tone quality and perfect intonation, which is something very important to me. My playing spans the neck of the guitar so it is vital that I have perfect intonation.
