Ok, so I used to live in a city in Pennsylvania called Reading, and the streets there are your typical city streets, you know drug circulation, prostitution, etc... so,i used to go onto Penn Street, which is the main street in the Downtown section, to play my acoustic and make a little bit of cash. So, it was getting kinda late, and there's this homeless guy just walking down the side of the street that i'm on. He glances my way, comes over, takes a seat next to me and just starts singing the words to the song i was playing at the time, which was Bad Moon Rising by CCR, i think. We ended up going to a bar close-by and he was a really cool dude. He used to be a singer back in the 80's for a local band, whose name i can't remember currently, and we just chatted about music and shows until ungodly hours in the morning. Stuff like that is why I love performing in small towns and big city parks, you meet some really interesting people from many different walks of life.
Me and my cousin Tommy started a band called Disposable Teens, which we had changed the name to An Endless Haze later down the road. We had gotten a call from another one of my cousins Alyy, that she wanted to know if we could play a show at her birthday. The 5 of us talked it out and we agreed. Her birthday was held at the Reading Planetarium, and once she told us that, we really jumped at the chance to do this. So it's this BIG, circular room and it has all these stars, planets and nebulas running off of a projector onto the ceiling. We set up for this show, drums are set, amps are ready to go, were all tuned up to play and then we realize that...........There are NO MICROPHONES. Absolutely ZERO mics. Once the Blame Game kicked in, we kinda didn't want to play the show, but we ended up doing all of our songs with no vocals. Although, between the 5 of us in the band, nobody thought to check to see if we had the mics, all of our friends were there and it didn't really matter.
The first guitar I had was given to me by my dad,it was a House Of Blues edition Washburn acoustic and i pretty much learned on that. That guitar ended up getting smashed in the back of a U-Haul truck. T_T
I have names for my guitars, but i don't give them the names. I let my best friends pick the names for my guitars because i kinda suck when it comes to naming things. I have a blue Ariana acoustic named Tessa and a Harmony Stratocaster named Bruiser.
