I spend the majority of my life on the road these days, either working for other bands or touring with this project. I love the circus life.
My life is a constant adventure, and even in dark periods, there have been amazing moments that made all the shit I've trudged through worth it. It's really hard to pick out one specific story...but if you take some time to get to know me, stories have a way of resurfacing, depending on what topic we're on and how it triggers a specific memory.
I first started performing live when I was 9 or 10 years old. I used to cry and run off the stage, take a few deep breaths, then go back up and restart the song. I think the only difference between then and now is that the reasons I cry on stage are different on the rare occasion is happens, and I push through it, even when my voice is cracking.
Sam (short for Samantha) is my beautiful, acoustic 4 string. She is an extension of myself and my soul. Without her, I feel empty and less complete. She's been repaired more times than I can count and has traveled all over the country with me. She is the body pillow I snuggle up to when traveling, and the outlet I use to poor out every thought and emotion I have a hard time expressing otherwise.
