WooD HeaD BoB is consciousness. The same as you and everyone else. This version creates varied musical vibrations for other versions of itself to listen to. Enjoy all the creations featured here, as they are but a fleeting, transient illusion!
I began playing music at age 13 when I got my first drum set for Christmas. I played it until I broke the entire set. I got a guitar for my 15th birthday and almost immediately started trying to write songs. I have never stopped since.
I've played many shows from Florida to Wisconsin and have even won an 8-round Battle of the Bands. I was lucky enough to play in a world record breaking show for charity known as the longest continuous concert by multiple artists at over 10 days straight! My contribution was 3.5 hours.
I have written many songs and love creating music! I hope you enjoy what you hear from me! Thanks for checking out my page on StreetJelly.com!
Look me up on Facebook, YouTube, Soundcloud, Etc.!
Once, when I was playing outside of a place called The Washington Perk, there was a crowd of a couple hundred people walking around on the sidewalks and streets and it was much more busy than usual. I wasn't sure of the occasion but was happy there were more people there to play music for! Right when we were about to begin, Cops swarmed the area and started spraying mace on some people that were fight and then made a semi-circle around us sitting there with our guitars to keep people back from us. Eventually, it calmed down some but there were still a couple of people who stole tips from me and some walked up and tried talking to me in the middle of songs and got angry when I didn't answer them immediately. It was just a crazy night. It was definitely one of the most interesting moments in the time I've spent playing shows! The first and hopefully the only time I almost get maced while playing a show!
I'm not sure if I would call it embarrassing as much as it was frustrating and infuriating. We had spent a couple of months selling tickets for this show we were going to play at Tremont Music Hall in Charlotte, NC and the day of the show had finally come. So it came to be our time to play and we ran up onstage and got everything set up and starting into the first song. Everything was going great! That is until my amp just stops working mid song. Keep in mind, we were a two-piece band at the time with me on guitar and the other member on the drums. The show was basically over before it even got started at that point, so I said from the stage, "Does ANYONE have an amp I could borrow for a second?!" A guy helped me out and let me use his keyboard amp, so the rest of the show was played completely clean with no effects or distortion which the band I was in required for the songs. I was not a very good day and I was definitely annoyed by the whole situation! lol
I believe I got my favorite and main instrument since I started playing by destiny! I had gotten the chance to travel to Richmond, Virginia to see Korn, Puddle of Mudd and Deadsy play a show. When we got there, we were very early, so we decided to go walk around the surrouding city. I was young then, so I was with my parents. They went into a bar that was having a radio promotion for backstage passes and my friend and I went over to a pawn shop. As soon as I walked in the door, I saw in the back of the store a 1976 Univox Hi-Flier in Natural Finish just like one Kurt Cobain had in picture I had seen of him as a teenager. I immediately had to have it. I ran back to tell my parents and tell them I'd do any amount of chores it took to get that and they had actually WON the competition for backstage passes! It took some begging but they eventually got me the guitar for a steal price of $120! We went to the show, went backstage, met Puddle of Mudd, and I went home on Cloud 9! :D
