Hey everyone, I'm Ukulele Pops, a retired 60-year-old busker. My musical journey started with Jethro Tull and the Grateful Dead scene, where I first busked on the silver flute. I’ve explored genres from Irish and British folk to jamgrass and Southern rock. In my 50s, I was inspired by punk-infused Appalachian folk and a young Emi Sunshine playing "Sugaree" to pick up the ukulele myself. Now a proud resident of Cosby, Tennessee, I play my Risa Les Paul and Fender tenor ukuleles. Due to health issues and bad weather, I'm bringing my music online.
