John is a human jukebox! Featuring the music of John Denver, Frank Sinatra, Kenny Rogers, B.J. Thomas Elvis,
Everly Brothers, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, (and much more). The song selections are always only the greatest hits of the artists named. These songs were hits during the 40's-50's-60's mostly, and are all very familiar to the residents .The show runs with continuous music, with no breaks between songs.
One time I was performing live at a 5k running race. I set up at the top of a very difficult hill, so when the runners reached the top of the hill all stressed out and panting out of breath they could hear me singing, "It's been a hard day's night and I've been workin like a dog"
No so much embarrassing, but very awkward. I was performing at a Long Term Health Facility. One of the residents died a few hours before. My audience wanted to say goodbye, so they wheeled the covered body into the room, and they asked me to sing Amazing Grace. I did not have the music so I sang John Denver's "Back Home Again". Which created a happier mood.
Now when I go out the door to do a show, my adult kids snicker and say "don't knock em dead!
When I was 15 I had a set of drums, but that was so long ago I can't remember where they went.
