More About Toonmade
We've been married and making music together for over 17 years. Both classically trained singers, we're multi-instrumentalists as well. We share a love for rock, folk, bluegrass, old country and jazz. The music we write and perform together is kind of a rock/folk mix. Think The Grapes of Wrath, Patty Griffin, David Bazan, Indigo Girls, and some Shoegaze too! We perform as solo artists, as a duo fronting the band badgentina (hoping to get that horse riding again!), and Stephen plays his rock/gazey stuff under the name Fort George. Also seasoned worship leaders and songwriters, we have been serving in churches for years, leading worship, pastoring and teaching/mentoring music students.
Guess what else? We have 4 amazing and talented boys, 9 and under! Working on building a family band, that's for sure!

Life on the Street
Years ago while busking at Granville Island in Vancouver, BC Canada, the local pigeons decided to take flight from my performance area and proceed to dump on me as they flew away. Hair, arm, shirt, guitar. ya, it was a mess. No pigeons on Streetjelly!
Embarrassing Moment
Stephen: I came in a bar early in a trumpet duo section that our band class had been working on all year! Our final concert. The other guy and I started laughing uncontrollably through the whole part, and I was laughing through my nose, trying to play still.
My Instrument
Voice, GUitar, Keys, Bass, Drums...we love and play it all! Except for bagpipes. One day though, one day.
