Hi I am Hans grew up in Haarlem in the North West of Holland. I started playing the guitar when I was fourteen. My neighbour friend got a accoustic guitar and wanted to paint it white. He wanted to become a painter later. I saved this guitar by buying it for a couple of guilders and got hooked from the start. Many years later I toured with a bluesband by the name of John the Revelator. They had their 50th anniversary and reunion last year and I was invited to play a couple of songs with them ( https://youtu.be/3077c4JFae0 ).
In the ninetees I played in a reggae band with friends and for some years we worked with Chokey Taylor, a Jamaican singer ( https://youtu.be/r5qvlNUoJz8 ) and had some airplay on the Dutch and Jamaican radio.
Nowadays I like to play folksongs with my friends Sundrifters for Streetjelly and sometime, when I have the guts, fingerpicking on my own;-)
