Steve Clarke - Solo Singer-Songwriter
I began my career in music playing bass guitar for the legendary London new wave band Impulse. Here I cut my songwriting teeth and provided pulsating dub-influenced basslines for the band's eponymous first album.
Later I was the guitarist/singer/principal songwriter in The Drones Club, who's retro-jangle 60's influenced songs could be heard in clubs and pubs throughout the capital.
After becoming disillusioned with the rock music scene of the time and tired of nursing the personality disorders of various drummers, I decided, in a blatant act of "reverse-Dylan", to go acoustic, where today I can still be heard plying my trade in London acoustic clubs armed with only my trusty Taylor GS Mini guitar and a sizable collection of quirky, angular pop songs.
