Andrew Carter Baker, Sol Ilumenon, I was reading music by the age of 3 or 4 when I began the piano. At age 10 I took up the cello and by 13 was playing professionally and at 16 was contracted with the philharmonic. During this time i took college level courses on 20th century and advanced music theory and studied composition at the university. During these years i performed with a number of internationally recognized musicians but at age 19 i started to drift outside the confines of classical music and began my love affair with the guitar, basically sequestering myself for a year to master the instrument and familiarize myself with rock, blues, metal, celtic and slavic folk music etc. Also around this time is when I began actively singing. Because of my individual personality and tastes, my extensive formal training, and my love for music and experimentation, I fetch an unconventional approach guitar and cello playing and a harmonically expansive conceptualization to song writing.
