I grew up and have always loved the great bands that incorporated acoustic guitars along side the electric riffs and leads. Join me and you'll hear Neil Young, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Pearl Jam, Ozzy, Pink Floyd, Guns n Roses, and Rush to name a few, as well as rock, blues, and folk from another 70 + artists. I occasionally throw in some of my originals as well, all of which are available for free download from Reverbnation under Paul Sweeney (SocietalRiff).

Years ago, while living in Spain with a room mate from Germany, we'd hit the streets--I'd play and sing while he played the part of the organ monkey, clowning and working the crowd. After a time, we decided we could do better than we were by studying which songs paid, what time of day was best, which street locations were most favorable. So we turned it into a science and learned that we did best as business were letting out employees at closing time, on streets that got massive foot traffic that kept pushing new people in while pushing along those that had stopped further away. We honed our act to the point that I could play "American Pie" 10 times in a row and earn enough for dinner and drinks for the rest of the night where before we'd only do half that or less, playing and hustling for 4 or 5 hours in a day.
I play on a Larivee I bought new back in 1993 when they were a small luthier in Victoria BC on Vancouver Island. I also play on Yamaha and rarely I'll bring out a Martin Steve Miller Signature OOO-C limited.
