Fun Stuff about the Artist

Life on the Street

one time we were on the road (Trinity Lane) and had an unbooked couple days..in the midwest. an agent called and said Bill Haleys Comets bus had broken down..could we play an oldies rock gig in (nearby) Lincoln Ohio..sure..so we billed it as the Lincoln Continentals..haha.
the only thing is while we were waiting to see if we were a go, we had nothing to do so waited at a little roadside bar. well, turns out they were having a special on schnapps for 60 cents a shot. our guitar player accidentally got plastered. We found out the gig was on and shot him up with coffee. But starting out the set in this theatre with the classic hit "The Wanderer", he began the starting riff one fret off..yyyeeeeeouchhh!!! (do you know what dissonance means...yikes) The audience looked kinda confused and that whole set was a write off. During the break we rallied like great balls of fire.. came out like thunder..we gathered around mikes and Beetles toppled our heads, had a ball.. got a standing O

Embarrassing Moment

i was singing a harmony i had done on an artists recording.. live at an album release party.. a little nervous to be introduced and not knowing what to say.. so i thought i'd be clever and repeat a little inside joke we always used at the publishing company demo sessions when we came upon someone who really had great pipes (vocal chords); we'd shake our heads when referring to them and say..yeah.. too bad he cant sing very good..haha!
so,yup..thats what i said. there was an odd silence in the crowd. i guess they didn't catch the humor. i fell flat on my face on that one..

My Instrument

no but i used to have that innovative invention (now relic) called the drumulator..(drum..ya later..) and it's name was Ace-buddy.

all my learnings were logged on an old Fender Kingman accustic. I wore that thing out. Have been using a little warhorse Ovation 84 special edition with the pretty leaf holes ever since. Love it.
