More About Jim Andrews

Jim was born in Chicago and has lived in and around the area his entire life. Although he has a county base to his music, he brings in different genres of music, such as rock, pop and blues, to give his sound a little something different. With influences such as The Eagles, Billy Joel, Travis Tritt and The Allman Brothers; his sound has a multitude of possibilities.
Picking up a guitar for the first time at the age of seven, Jim never looked back. He spent his youth playing at churches, musicals and parties. When he finally graduated to playing in bands, he got his first real taste of how gratifying songwriting could be.
As of late, Jim has opened for artists such as Drake Bell, Superbig and Blue Oyster Cult and has performed in venues in and around the Chicagoland area, Nashville and Missouri
Fun Stuff about the Artist

Life on the Street

While visiting my daughter in Japan, we came across some street performers that were very entertaining. While listening to them, the guitar that the young man was playing caught my eye, as well as my ear. I was not familiar with the brand and trough my daughter, who speaks fluent Japanese, I asked about it. After a short conversation about the guitar, the owner of the guitar asked if I played. After letting him know that I did play, he surprised me by handing me his guitar to try it out. So there I was, outside the train station in Kashiwa, Japan; playing Stevie Ray Vaughn's Pride and Joy. I have made many friends and had numerus great memories all because of music. It is truly a language the bridges gaps between generations, cultures and communication barriers.
