I've had many memorable experiences with audience members, especially the rowdy ones!

I've had someone try and steal the microphone from me. She strutted up on the stage because she thought she could sing Amy Winehouse's "Valerie" better than me (I could care less who sings it better) but then all of sudden whipped the mic from my hand and started howling! I stopped the music immediately, snatched it away from her and told her down the mic how disrespectful she was and if this behaviour continued I would have to leave. I received a round of applause from listeners at the back!

At the same gig I had an elderly man who nearly broke my speakers while I went to the toilet! Thankfully, my brother was on hand to tell him where to stick it. And it was all because I was playing a Niki Minage song in my break!

My favourite instrument is piano!!

My Granddad used to play the piano (apparently he was part of the soldier band in the war, according to dad) and owned a baby grand piano in his living days. I remember as a child being super excited to visit nan and Granddads because of their piano. Even though I couldn't play for shit, seriously I was like 3, I would always turn up and bang on the keys every single time. My Granddad hated it!! haha

Unfortunately, he is no longer with us, but we inherited the piano because my dad was one of the 4 children who actually tried to learn.


Even though I don't play his piano on my street jelly gigs (Could you actually image me trying to mic that up without getting vocal feedback?!) it is a cherished asset within the household and holds a special place in my heart.
