More About Ross_Wylde

I'm 19 years-old. I grew up in a small town in Northern California where I was exposed to folk music. I was pulled by how the genre brought people together and how it could tap into emotions despite its simplicity. I've been playing guitar and piano since I was five, and picked up harmonica when I was ten, after hearing Bob Dylan play "Mr. Tambourine Man" at the Newport Folk Festival in 1964 on YouTube. Songwriters from Dylan, Leonard Cohen, and Phil Ochs to David Bowie and Elton John have inspired me to write my own songs. Hope you enjoy what I have to offer.
Fun Stuff about the Artist

My Instrument

I own a lot of guitars I've inherited from family members. Here are a few instruments you'll see me playing:

1982 Ovation Adamas II 1681-8: This is my most precious instrument. It was my dad's. The body is made from graphite, so the resonance is piercing. The base also comes out loud and clear.

2014 Martin 000-15M: This guitar is my trustee work horse. I play it at most of my gigs. It has a versatile, warm sound that compliments any genre of music. There's nothing like a Martin.

1949 Martin 5-18: I found this beautiful instrument in dilapidated shape in a barn in Northern California, and the original owner kindly gave it to me. Two weeks later, the fires came through and destroyed the building it was being stored it. I like to think I saved its life, and in return, it makes lovely music for me.

1924 Steinway Model M: You might see me playing on this piano sometimes. The case is made of walnut, and it has original ivory keys.
