I started playing bass about 25 years ago. In the last couple of years I have become better acquainted with the guitar and singing. They say "necessity is the mother of invention" and that's kind of how it was with me and the guitar. I was trying to do some home recording of my songs and had a guitar player I was working with and we had falling out and I couldn't find another one so I decided I would try to learn how to play the guitar myself, so here I am. I love writing country music. I am currently #2 in country music on Reverbnation in Lawrence, Ks. When I started playing the bass years ago it was in heavy metal hairbands but I have always liked and listened to country. I probably heard Hank Williams sr. in my moms womb because that was dads favorite. Now that I'm a little older and hopefully wiser, lol I find myself a lot more drawn to country than rock. Embarrassing Moment
Recently I started going to a jam night here locally and playing and singing. I think that for about a month I screwed up every song I tried. I didnt screw up a little it was a lot, but its a good training ground. So far no one has thrown rotten vegetables at me, lol.
My Instrument
No I don't name inanimate objects, they wont come when you call them, so whats the point, lol? The seagull mahogany guitar i am currently playing is my favorite instrument by far. If you fellow musicians dont know about Seagull guitars check them out. I have played a $3000 Martin and I will take my $500 Seagull over the Martin any day. There a great Canadian company, not made in china or mexico. My guitar is hand made and the company takes good care of there workers.
