I've played for 2 people to 35000 people. I've played shows where no one showed up. These things happen and i'm never discouraged. I love playing. Doesn't matter to who. Hell I'll get drunk and sing my cat songs all night if he'll listen. So I'll go ahead and list some of my musical inspirations:
Counting Crows (My #1 inspiration for picking up an acoustic guitar, I cannot say enough about these guys.)
Guster
The Strain
Charlie Cheney & The Significant Otters
Augustana
Jon Lajoie (Look him up, he's hilarious)
Stephen Lynch (See above)
Dopest Nerd (Yeah I dig rap once in awhile)
Bob & Jacob Dylan
Aly & AJ Michalka (Beautiful female singers.)
Johnny Cash
Bear's Den
Nick Stevenson (Who I've had the honor to play bass for on a few occasions)
The Muppets (Yeah, The Muppets)
Ben Gibbard (Postal Service/Death Cab for Cutie
Not very many embarrassing moments. I once had to play a show while I had food poisoning. I sang from the bathroom with a wireless mic. Needless to say, lots of emotion in that show. Plus, it was disgusting.
I am currently running a Fender acoustic Guitar (Elizabeth) and a Epiphone SG Bass (Anna). I've been playing bass for around 31 years and Guitar for about 15.
