This Street Jelly account is owned by Adrian Gardener. Rain Shredder is my drum's name. Recordings of full jams from public drum circles all over Austin that I'm playing in are posted to the YouTube channel at the posted link. I started doing this when quarantine hit in 2020 and people were terrorized to stay in their homes by the threat of an imaginary plague. We went to the park and played drums. The police came and shut down the park. We came back and played anyway. They blocked off the parking lots. We walked. Then the riots came and they had better things to do than mess with harmless drummers so we kept playing. Now it's all over I guess, but we're still here, playing drums, every Sunday, at the Monkey Tree, except for last Sunday when the storm swamped us out so we just hopped over to the Bum Tree, after making a pit stop at the Bug Tree. Players in our circle are whoever shows up. If interested in being involved, just come to Zilker Park on Sunday with your drum or without.
