Quasar Cycles is the instrumental loop project of guitarist-bassist Chris Turvill. Influenced by a range of styles from drone metal and jazz to IDM, shoegaze and prog rock, Quasar Cycles acts as an opportunity to turn psychedelic-wall-of-sound The Living Planet project into a live one-man band. Originally defined by the limits of the DD-6's 5-second looper, the Ditto has opened up a Supernova of possibilities. The head of the project aims to transcend the shackles of limitations in any shape or form with the materials at hand, but it's heart still lies on the foundation of a catchy and hypnotic hook. From slow-burn beats to funky freakouts, patience rewards the listener.
