Hello Everyone, My name is Paul Travis and I am 76 years young.
My first introduction to music came with the purchase of an Emerson portable radio in 1956. Favourite radio station was CHUM in Toronto. My enjoyment in music for most of my life was in association with listening, dancing and some live shows. Things changed dramatically in retirement and I discovered Karaoke at the age of 70. Things changed fast when I started buying my own equipment and the initial fear of a microphone disappeared. For the last 4+ years, my goals around music keeps changing from just singing to running Karaoke Events to performing shows.
During this 4 year period, I found that my real purpose in life is to Sing, specifically to the locked units of Retiement/Assisted Living/Memory Care, individuals. For the last 2+years, my purpose was satisfied by doing Karaoke Singalong shows in Barrie ON and Naples FL areas. L

Fun Stuff about the Artist
Life on the Street
Karaoke in Belfast Ireland. The first song I sang was New York New York.. I could hardly hear myself. Second song was Danny Boy. I could hear a pin drop. The contrast totally freaked me out.
Embarrassing Moment
At a true Karaoke in Naples FL,I had a major computer issue that required a re boot. A request went out to the audience for someone to sing a-capellio. Jan, a regular to the rescue, and by the time she finished. My reboot was finished. Phew, didn’t miss a beat. Thank you Jan.
My Instrument
Other than the radio, the music I can make is with my voice. Can’t read music. Everything is done by ear.
