Hello, my name is Matt Kevorkian and I am a folk punk singer from Meriden CT. I have been playing guitar for 19 years and a professional musician for the past 10 years. Ever since I was 5 years old I knew that music was the career path for me. Often times I would bring my guitar to school and jam in the hallway in between classes. I am at my happiest when I can perform for the people and fans. My early influences included Frank Zappa, Jimi Hendrix, Duane Allman, Albert King, Eric Clapton and so on. You can expect a very energetic performance from me, so sit back, relax and thank you for entering my concert hall. The show is about to begin!
Fun Stuff about the Artist
Life on the Street
A friend and I were once singing love songs to our single female friends on Valentines Day. We finished performing and we heard police sirens right down the road. We looked at each other, got in his car and took off. We don't know if they were coming for us, but we weren't sticking around to find out.
Embarrassing Moment
My first gig as a professional musician was at a pizza place. Upon playing the first chord, the room cleared in 10 seconds. I'm proud of that day, because Alice Cooper cleared a room in 30 seconds. We beat Alice Cooper.
My Instrument
My main guitar is a Fender Strat and her name is Melissa.
