I'm not genre specific and will on occasion be heard playing anything from classical pieces to Irish/Celtic/ folk tunes to Progressive rock and blues.
Multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, playing guitars, keyboards andIrish flute. If you are unlucky, I'll get my violin out.
All backing tracks that I use in my shows are recorded myself in my home studio with everything programmed, sequenced or played by my own hands so one way or another, everything you hear is me. I do not use commercially released tracks
There was the time when I played in a punk band and we were doing a version of "Should I stay or should I go" by the Clash. I went for a big leap into the air and never noticed the oak beam that was about 6 inches above my head. They told me afterwards that it was spectacular and that it took me 3 minutes to come round haha. To this day, I'm sure my neck is a couple of inches shorter than it should be!
Being sacked from a cabaret band because I insisted on using a distortion pedal on the Sky Boat song :)
I don't have names for my instruments, no. They are working tools. Here's what I'll most commonly be seen playing
Fender Stratocaster
Fender Nashville telecaster
Yamaha SG2000s
Takamine Acoustic
Takamine Nylon classical
Faedog Irish whistles
Stentor 2 violin
Oberheim and Roland keyboards
