Still wonder about a unicycle though.
Anyway, I've done a lot of things with music; rock band, Celtic band, and contemporary worship. I've expanded from time to time to other instruments, such as the mandolin and the uke and flute, but always come back to guitar and I've found the acoustic guitar to be my home in recent years.
So many foibles, so little space...
Broken strings
Out of tune
Forgot the lyrics
Moved to the next song in the playlist before finishing the song i was playing... Instant medley!
Having band members show up late and unprepared...
There are so many opportunities to be humble.
My Acoustics:
I play a harp guitar most of the time. It's a 6 string guitar with 6 additional bass strings and eight super-trebble strings.
My go-to 6-string guitar is a Martin DCX1E. I traded a car for it at the end of 2017. It has some wear and tear but I like to think of that as "patina".
About five years ago, or so, (time flies, and I lose track) I bought a Takamine EG463SC. I selected it for it's bright acoustic tone.
In 2022 I obtained an Epiphone DR-500 MCE that I am very pleased with.
Electric:
I have a Line 6 Variax 700. A very nice modeling guitar that gives more flexibility with tones than any other electric out there. I also have an Ibanez 8-string guitar.
Bass:
Yamaha 4-string and a Dean electric upright.
Gizmos:
I also use a Tonewood Amp. If you play acoustic guitar you NEED one of these. They are great. (No I don't work for Tonewood).
