Embarrassing Moment
During a marching band competition the introduction involved some of us to drag props across the field. While this was going on another member of our section was to hold our instrument for us. After the prop dragging we'd grab our instrument and within seconds have to move to the first formation and pop our horns to start playing.
Well for one competition when the girl holding my trumpet passed it to me she did a very bad job and the bell of my trumpet was crushed in from hitting the ground before if even touched my hand in the pass off! Her face was in shock and I grabbed my trumpet and scrambled to get in place. When I brought my horn to my mouth no sound came out! NOTHING. It was jammed up from the fall. So I had to march in a panic not being able to play my part. There were not many trumpet players so it really made a difference. It was horrible!!
(My trumpet did get repaired though and I still have it.)
My Instrument
I own 2 trumpets, 2 guitars (one is acoustic-electric), 2 harps (baby and a 24 string), a didgeridoo, and a broken violin that I cannot play. :)
