Kristin Ronne is a professional songwriter from Chicago, IL. With a BA in sociology and an MS in applied psychology, Kristin's songs are full of symbolic in-depth explorations of the self, social issues and analysis of life. Her sound has developed over the years and is unique while influenced by many different genres including indie, anti-folk, jazz, rap, R&B, and world music. She has a home studio (as do most musicians today). She is interested in the "do it yourself" mentality with a combination of low-fi and well produced sound.

Fun Stuff about the Artist
Life on the Street
I enjoyed collaborating with other musicians when performing on the street or in the subway (busking). Once someone sketched a picture of me while I was performing and gave it to me.
Embarrassing Moment
My most embarrassing moment had to be at the Burkhart Studio Underground where the mic wasn't grounded properly. I got shocked several times during the performance. Burkhart Studios no longer exists, and I miss the vibe there.
My Instrument
I got my first guitar when I was 6 years old. It was a 3/4 sized guitar.
It has since disappeared.
I don't have a name for my guitars. I have two guitars right now I have a Larvae Parlour acoustic and an Ibanez semi-hallowbody jazz guitar. I love them both dearly. I often refer to them with a female pronoun. No names though.
