Anderson is a songwriting duo mixing folk story songs over soulful singing with sophisticated chord progressions. Joy Burnworth is the lead vocalist, songwriter and Howard Anderson is the co-writer, guitarist and harmony singer. They co-wrote records under Joy Burnworth but this is their first upcoming EP under the name Anderson, taken from Joy's hometown Anderson, Indiana, the muse for many of her lyrics and Howie's last name. Joy has sung with Larry Bagby, Eddie Money, and producers David Foster, Ian Bernard and Matt Hyde. She has opened for Pat Benatar, Buffalo Springfield and BJ Thomas. Her voice can be heard on "The Secret" movie soundtrack. Howard Anderson also performs with The Strawberry Alarm Clock, Jon Wamsley and the Disneyland Bluegrass Band.
