My wildest performing story would not go over very well in print so I would have to tell you in person for you to really get it!! If I get enough fans that are curious about this, maybe I will explain during one of my online performances.

Playing in Toronto at a jazz conference...I was in the middle of a modal tune and could not figure out where I was in the song. I continued as if I was playing 'outside' the changes, but finally gave up and walked off the stage! Embarrassing...went back to the hotel and wanted to hide forever.

My first instrument that I owned was a cheap guitar with two broken strings that I received from a kid at school on a candy trade. The E and B strings were broken so I played it like a bass...then I ended up playing an actual bass in the 9th grade jazz ensemble. Now I own instruments from every instrument family.
