More About Helena

I grew up listening to my dad play the guitar and write songs in the other room as mom was putting me to bed. Having very young parents, my daddy was still going to be a rockstar. On my 7th Christmas I got my first guitar and started learning immediately. I started writing songs when I turned 9 and to this day, I still play some of the songs I wrote when I was 13. I play at a Traditional Folk Festival every summer and have bar gigs every now and then. I created a group called Highway Harmony with my friend from choir (LIKE us on Facebook!) and we have continued to do what we love, wherever the highway took us. My name is Helena Antoni, and I hope you enjoy my music.

Fun Stuff about the Artist

Life on the Street

Walking to the liquor store with a couple friends, I brought my guitar along and decided to jam while someone was buying for us, we cranked out one of our songs (as Highway Harmony) and the only people that walked past us threw a dollar at our feet.
From that moment, we knew we would be Rockstars one day... Jk, but a girl can dream right?

Embarrassing Moment

I had just been in Sweden over the summer and had a decently sized gig 3 days after I got back. I also had cheer practice the day after my gig was done. I was supposed to play 6.5 hours away form home, so my family turned it into a camping trip. However my mother wasn't too happy with me wanting to leave right away so I didn't piss my coach off any more. So we agreed that I could take my car (I was 17) if I had someone else driving there and back with me. There was this guy I had been talking to... a farmer boy... a HOT farmer boy... I decided I would ask him to come with me for the weekend and camp with my family, then drive back with me so I could go to cheer practice. I never would've guessed, but he said yes! And so I came back from a great summer (without practicing my songs!!!) in Sweden and walked up on stage all cocky like "Watch this shit", and totally bombed it. I wanted to cry. But hey, I guess it worked, cause I'm still dating him today(;

My Instrument

My guitars name is Pearl. I got her on my 15th birthday, and had one hell of a time picking one out. She was the one though. Absolutely perfect. Blue, with mother of pearl around the sound hole. I grew up in Sweden on the ocean and always loved it. Therefore I named her Pearl, from the sea I missed so.
