Life on the Street
NEVER HAVE played in the streets...but while in France promoting Busch Beer..we were staying in a northern town that had a National Festival under the largest tent I've ever seen..and the promoter who had brought American Artists like Jimi Hendrix and Bo Didely .was staying in the same hotel and had been watching us come to dinner wearing cowboy hats and boots and Busch t-shirts approached us to play at this Festival. We were the last act and recieved jubilant as the men put us on their shoulders and the whole packed crowd whisked around the circular town streets...was the high point of the tour.
Embarrassing Moment
I was embarrassed for Duey of the Group America when he got up on stage with us all messed up and dropped my new guitar onto the stage floor trying to play like jimi behind his neck...
My Instrument
Saw it when I went to the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland..the exact 1964 Fender DuoSonic.
