More About FretsNirvana
From Elvis to very early Fleetwood Mac when, as he tells us, Peter Green was with the group, Frets Nirvana is both musician and music historian/educator. Tennessee based, Frets plays a mean guitar and connects like lightning with his audience. He has nimble fingers, and you can feel the steel strings under them.
Frets can move from bouncy rock to an almost mesmerizing and meditative strumming of classical flamenco, pure steely grace sliding into a jazzy riff to finish. Reminiscing about a trip to Ireland, he plays an Irish jig, his fingers so nimble and sure on the steel strings, he takes us to the Emerald Isle.
There’s a nice balance between vocal and pure instrumental, and the pure instrumental reveals a man in love with his guitar. He’s playing with it, milking every nuance from it, building to an insane place where the musician is cosmically connected, entranced by his own music, and so are we.
Be sure there is a Frets Nirvana gig in your future … for the pure
