I was one of those many people who were told at school that they couldn't sing. It took me years to realise that even if I couldn't it didn't matter. So I did a lot of listening when young, but the songwriting and performing came later.

Been writing songs for quite a few years now, and I enjoy playing my own songs, and some covers, and traditional folk songs. I have read that Streetjelly is a supportive community, and so I am trying out online performing here first.

I enjoy performing, however I don't like the part before I start, when I worry about what can go wrong, so I'll start very quietly. I am both very accident prone, and a bit of a perfectionist, those two traits are always in conflict with each other!
