Donn DeVore performs a mix of original rock and electronic music. Combining influences from classic and modern rock, trance and techno genres, Donn has developed a delicious blend of sounds and songs inspired by dreams, emotions, unicorns and hallucinations. From guitar-based pop songs to high energy dance music with tight beats and driving bass lines layered with synthesizers, Donn demonstrates a broad range of musical talent. Lyrics are delivered with a soulful voice over lush chord progressions and memorable melodies.
Donn toured the U.S. in 2013 and 2014 and has shared his voice and talents with people from around the world in Second Life and other online platforms since 2007. Donn continues to explore new musical realms and create compelling new sonic landscapes for audiences to enjoy.
Donn also sings and performs a range of covers songs from bands such as Pink Floyd, Nine Nails, Muse, Radiohead.
this one time in Canada... i tripped over my guitar cable while changing instruments and walking across the stage and i fell HARD in front of a crowd of a couple of hundred of people and cameras recording the event for posterity. another musician from backstage yelled out 'donn de floor". that was pretty embarassing and painful since i jammed my thumb in the fall. i got up and played the rest of the set like a boss. the show goes on..
one of my favorite instruments is my 2010 Fender Standard Stratocaster HSS, always been a fan of Fender guitars and this was my first 'real' Strat customized with black pick guard and knobs. I've played it so much that I've had to replace the frets already twice.
as a keyboardist and electronic musician I've owned a Hammond B3 with Leslie speaker, Wurlizter electric piano, various analog and digital synths.. instruments come and go but I wish i still had all of them!
