More About Didgeguy

I first started playing the didgeridoo over 10 years ago on a trip to Australia, and am now hooked for life. I began making them 2 years ago, and playing such a variety of instruments, each with their own feel, has really improved my skills. I recently started busking at Seattle's famous Pike's Place Market, looking to sell a few didgeridoos I made and pick up some students. I am working on playing didgeridoo while also playing drums or guitar, as well as using vocal processors. I also enjoy jamming with other musicians and playing along to many different musical genres. Musical influences include Xavier Rudd, Thom Yorke, Ravi Shankar, as well as electronic dance music.
Fun Stuff about the Artist

Life on the Street

2/2/13
An elderly woman came over to me yesterday and told me that my playing the didgeridoo was singing to the Earth and helping it heal. Some young children plugging their ears as they walked by: perhaps they are still sensitive to frequencies my concert-damaged ears can no longer hear!

Some guys started dancing and filming each other, so I helped them out and started playing break beats. Soon we had a little crowd of onlookers - I hope that video shows up online at some point!

Embarrassing Moment

Piano recitals were always painful experiences as a little kid.

My Instrument

I picked up an agave didgeridoo made by Tyler Spencer for a good price on craigslist: Definite game changer! Perfectly tuned to D and projects a room-filling drone that can be heard from a good distance.
