Over the years I have performed hundreds of shows in nightclubs and restaurants, hotels and motels, coffee houses and music festivals. I have over 30 years of experience teaching guitar in music stores, at community centers and after school programs.
My goal now is to perform online playing the music that I love and to teach my fans how to play folk music!
I invite you to periodically check my profile for updates to my schedule of live performances here on Streetjelly. To learn how you can get a free online guitar lesson copy and paste the following link into your web browser: http://www.classicfolkguitarlessons.com/live/
I was on my way to a gig with my fellow band members when I said to our bass player who happened to be driving the car we were in, I wonder what time it is? Sense no one was wearing a watch, I turned on the radio to see if I could catch the time. The first thing that came out of the speakers was the radio dude who seemed to speak directly to me when he said seven O'clock; how's that for good timing?
I can't think of anything that really stands out as being embarrassing other forgetting the lyrics to a song I was singing, breaking a guitar string or needing to go to the bathroom in the middle of a set. I might have fallen off the stage once and hit my head on something but I can't remember. Wonder why!
My first electric guitar was a Gibson Melody Maker with a cherry finish. I loaned it to a friend of mine and he brought it back to me about 2 hours later with a broken neck. Naturally I wanted to break his neck but I kept my cool, had the guitar repaired and sent him the bill.
